HoE Stitcher's Choice Ornament from Lynn

Here's Sir Tobias, my hand delivered HOE Stitcher's Choice ornament.  My best stitchin' buddy, Lynn had my name.  She stitched the kitty to look like my grey tabbie.  Isn't it cute?  I sure love it.  It is from the 2002 JCS Christmas issue.  I completely forgot to ask who the designer is. I have the issue some where, and can look it up.  Lynn made some modifications to reflect my favorite color and Tobie's coat. Both of us have said many times that we wanted to stitch this design.  She made good on it.  Thank you Lynn. Of course, I love it!

HoE Stitcher's Choice and Patriotic Exchange

Here's my latest exchange piece.  It was for the HoE Stitcher's Choice ornament.  I chose it to stitch mainly for the Rhode's Square.  I really enjoy stitching them.  The design is Christmas Rondell by Janie Hubble of the Cat's Whiskers Design Studio.  I think it turned out quite nice.  Nancy said she loved it.

Julianne and I decided to do a patriotic exchange.  Here's what I stitched for her.  It is the Patriotic Tree by The Trilogy.  My friend Mary Ann stitched it and as soon as I saw hers I knew I wanted to do it for Julianne.  She has received it.  I finished it as a very simple pillow in keeping with the early needlework.  She said she liked it.  I'm glad.

Gifts and Exchanges

This is the exchange piece I sent to Dawn as part of the HoE Stitcher's Choice exchange.  I totally forgot to take a snap of the goodies I sent.  Dawn has a great photo of them on her blog.

Julianne and I have been exchanging for quite some time now. I decided to do a double sided ornament for her.  Seems like I do these alot . They are from a Prairie Schooler leaflet.
This is what she sent me.  I love it.  Julianne does such great stitching.
Now you ask what the heck is a Halloween piece doing in Christmas ornaments. My good friend stitched it for my birthday.  I've been so lazy about blogging, that I'm just now getting around to posting.  Not only is it a great stitched piece, but MAA as I call her has moved back to my town.  So now I get to stitch and visit with her more often.
My cousin and his wife lives in Alaska, so I stitched this ornament for their tree.  It's a oldie design, but I like it.  So far they have not received it.
This little ornie is for my friend Karen who has a cat.  He's Moose, and is a yellow tabbie.  I didn't want to change the color so I went ahead and stitched it as was charted.  Karen received it today.  She moved to Kansas a few years ago.  She said she was unpacking the tub of all the ornaments I had stitched for her.  I'm sure I have photos of them.  Good thing, because I can't remember what all I stitched!!

There's a few a few more ornaments stitched, but not finished.  I better get busy, because most of them need to be put into the mail.  I'll post them when I get finished.

Oh yes, it finally turned cold.  Now I want the warm weather back.  Never satisfied.  Have a warm and cozy evening.

A Great Week!

I received two fabulous exchange pieces in the mail this week.  The first was the HoE Christmas Box from Lillie.  Oh my, what a treat.  Lillie made the box herself, then stuffed it with wonderful little goodies.  She left instructions that I should open each little gift in order as numbered, and I did.  What fun I had.  Unfortunately my photos aren't great.  There just isn't anyplace in my small duplex to stage a photo.  Pop over to her blog to see the exchange better. She included an Angry Bird tape measure, a small pincushion jar filled with assorted buttons, some lace on a dress form she made, Christmas colored DMC, a LHN design and a patriotic badge, some candy, and a premade Christmas ornament on which she had attached It's Daffycat's Believe she stitched.

Here's the Stitcher's Choice ornament I received from Gwen.  Now, I wonder how she knew I liked reindeer?  I have it hanging with other reindeer I have either stitched or received in exchanges.  Thank you Gwen.  You stitched a wonderful ornament.

This is the Stitcher's Choice I sent to Ellen in Singapore.  I read that she liked sunflowers and Prairie Schooler designs, so I couldn't resist stitching this for her.

I've stitched some small ornaments for gifts, but forgot to take a photo.  Just too much going on right now.

I think I've got one more ornament to stitch and that'll be it for this year.  Merry Christmas to all my blogging friends.
