The Cliffs of Moher, Ireland

The Cliffs of Moher are located at the southwestern edge of the Burin region in County Clare, Ireland. They rise 390 ft above the Atlantic Ocean at Hag's Head, and reach their maximum height of 702 feet.  The tower is a round stone tower near the midpoint of the cliffs built in 1835 by Sir Cornelius O'Brien. From the cliffs and from atop the tower, you can see the Aran Islands in Galway Bay, the Maumturks and Twelve Pins mountain ranges to the north in County Galway, and Loop Head to the south. Enjoying your Ireland photos. My cousins were there and said there isn't a more beautiful place.

Wow, I did not realize that you traveled to Ireland. How exciting and what great pics ~ thanks for the visual tour.

County Clare, Ireland: it sounds so familiar. I am thinking that this may be where my Dad's parents are from.

Someday I would love to go to Ireland!
