Frightful

Here's my little ornament designed by Daffycat.  I wish the neon green fabric showed up better.  Had alot of fun stitching this one.  Thanks Daffy for sharing it with us.

A little gift for a little guy

My friend Chad and his wife had a little boy a couple of months ago.  I stitched the little guy an ornament for his first Christmas.  I do love It's Daffycat's reindeer.  I've stitched all of them except her latest.  There's still time!

A new finish

Here's my latest finish.  Put the finishing touches on it while I watched Oklahoma State eek by Missouri. (GoPokes) I have some little light bulbs, somewhere in this house and will attach them...if I find them!   Hope his Mimi and Auntie like what I did.  The design is It's Daffycat's Mistletoe Reindeer.  Have I ever mentioned that I love those little "deer"?  Well, I do!.  Below is my cat.  He wasn't the least bit interested in  watching the football game!  I took the photo with my camera, so it's not the best, but you get the idea.

Guess I'll go finds something else to stitch on while I watch LSU play Clemson Auburn.  Enjoy the rest of the evening.

My TobieCat all sacked out.

RAK from It's Daffycat

What a surprise I had in my mail box today. Sharon of It's Daffycat gifted me with this darling little pin pillow. It's stuffed with ground walnut shells and lavender. I saw this on her blog last night and thought to myself what a lucky person who's going to receive her stitching. My photo does not do it justice. All I can say is thank you so much Sharon. I love it!

Two more ornaments

Here's my two ornaments for the great-nephew and great-niece. Like the first two I think they turned out pretty cute also. They are my version of It's Daffycat's Jingle and Holly reindeer. I sure hope the parents like them. Now I have one more ornament to stitch for an exchange. Was stressing over what to stitch for my partner, and then voila, today not one, but two designs jumped out at me. I will start stitching tomorrow and hopefully get it finished soon.
The bank trip to Ponca City was great. I was one tired puppy when I got home though. We did alot of stair climbing but it was worth it. This morning I slept alot later than normal and it took me all day to get up and moving. I should exercise like that more often! Have a great day.

First two ornaments

Here's the first of the ornaments for my great-nieces. I took quite a few liberties with It's Daffycat's Holly reindeer . I think they turned out pretty cute. Must get them in the mail tomorrow since I don't know if I'll get to see them at Christmas. These little girls live in Kansas, so the weather always makes their Christmas visit iffy. My camera batteries died as I finished this snap. I also signed the backs. I'll show it back on the other two since they are all alike. The great-nephew's is finished, now just one to go.

Have a great week. Tuesday I go on a bank trip to Ponca City to see the sights and have a bite to eat. Hope it's not too cold.

2009 Christmas Ornament Challenge
November Ornament

by Just Nan

As soon as I saw this fellow I knew I was going to stitch him. I don't normally stitch with silk, but oh my, such a nice feel.

December Ornament
Holly Reindeer
by It's Daffycat
Silkweaver 28 ct Moon Dust Linen
DMC threads
Another design I knew I would stitch before the year ends. Matter of fact, I'm using this one for the great-nieces, and the companion design for the great-nephew's ornaments this year. The border should have DMC 814 in it, but I liked just the green, so I left it off this one. I may add it to the others.
Both designs were quick stitches, but it took me all day to day to do the finishing! Go figure.
Have a great evening.
