FTT Love of Needlework received by Ronel

Ronel of Paisley Designs has received her Friends Through Threads exchange. I stitched her an Etui from The Gift of Stitching magazine using an over dyed thread with her favorite colors in it. This was such a fun stitch. I enjoyed it so much and happy to hear that Ronel liked it. Hop over to her blog, she has a really great collage of the stitched piece. Also included in the exchange package was some fabric, a pattern from her wish list, and notepad. It was hard to put this one into the mail.
I spent the day doing odd jobs. Ran to the post office and dropped off two exchange packages, began packing for my Cape Cod trip, took a nap, and straighted up the house a little. Of course football was on the tv also. My friend Lynn of OK Stitches That Count, stopped by for a long visit. We don't see each other much during the school year. So the visit was alot of fun for me. My other friend Karen, has moved. I already miss her telephone calls!
Enjoy the rest of the weekend. I'm now on a mission. I've misplaced my stitching glasses and that is indeed a dilemma for me!

Lizzie Kate Round 2 from April

I came home from a bus trip yesterday to find my round 2 Lizzie Kate exchange from April. It is so cheery. Thank you so much April, I love it. By the way, I just stitched an exchange piece for April. The two pieces almost passed each other in the mail! My LK exchange is finished. I just have to get it ready to mail. My HoE is almost ready to pop into the mail also.
This weekend I'll spend doing a little stitching and alot of packing. Getting ready for my longest bus trip to date. Our final destination is Martha's Vineyard, with several stops on the way. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Hoe Fall Needleroll for April

I heard from April that she received the HoE Fall Needleroll. The design is from Sekas & Company. The fibers are the ones called for except the Needle Neccessities. DMC 4130 was substituted. I received a needleroll just like it from Bridgette in an earlier exchange. I loved it, had the pattern and so... The instructions for making this needleroll were some of the best I have ever followed. I plan to use them from now on when I make needlerolls.

Lots of football and stitching on my agenda for the weekend. I've already let my Mom know she may not see me Saturday. Enjoy yours.

FTT Love of Needlework from Suzanne

Suzanne was my stitching partner in the Friends Through Threads Love of Needlework exchange. We were to stitch a needlebook. Didn't Suzanne do a wonderful job? I absolutely love it. I should have no trouble keeping track of my needles now. She said in her note that she was not able to get to her LNS, but I think her exchange and goodies are great. Thank you so much. I will think of you whenever I reach for a new needle.
My partner has not received her exchange from me as of this writing. It did have quite a distance to go, and I was a bit lazy about getting it into the mail. I will post photos of the exchange when I receive word she has the exchange.
I also finished the HoE Fall Needleroll exchange. The USPS delivery confirmation says my partner has received it, but so far she hasn't acknowledged it. I will post the photo of it in a few days, whether I receive confirmation or not.
We had birthday potluck at church tonight. One of the ladies made a terrific cornbread casserole. It's one of my favorite potluck dishes.
I've finished the stitching on my friends birthday gift but have not finish, finished it. It was a fun project. Soon as it's in the mail I'll post the photos. Right now I'm stitching on the HoE Halloween exchange piece. I love Halloween designs, guess it's because so many of them have purple, orange and black in them!
That's it for now. Enjoy your evening. We have rain showers so it's perfect stitching weather.

Going away

My friend Karen, no blog, is moving back to Kansas to be near her family. She asked for a stitched piece with "In God We Trust" on it. So, here's what I chose to stitch for her, front and back. Karen is the friend who crocheted my beautiful afghan I blogged about earlier. I will miss Karen very much. We go to the same church, and she calls to check on me!

HoE By the Sea for Caroline

I heard from Caroline that she received my HoE By The Sea exchange. I chose to stitch a part of the July leaflet. Caroline said she liked it and I'm glad. It was a fun exchange to stitch and put together. I used the ole button on the back as a hanger. This method is really cool!

Enjoy the long weekend! Go Oklahoma State!
