Daniel O'Connell

O'Connell is known in Ireland as "The Liberator" or "The Great Emancipator" for his success in achieving Catholic Emancipation.  I'm afraid I don't remember all our guide told us about O'Connell.  He is an important statesman in Catholic Ireland.
