A little stitching

I did manage to get my HoE Christmas in July exchange in the mail...a day before the deadline. A plague of frogs attacked my piece. I bet I stitched it three times before I finally got it finished! Soon as my partner receives her package I'll post photos.

In the mean time, I have been doing a little stitching for myself. Since I love patriotic themes, I chose Shepherd's Bush "Land That I Love. It's an easy stitch, so not too many frogs have visited.

Here's a photo of my stitching progress. I normally stitch with piece in hand but sometimes the old left hand hurts, so I'm using one of great German made wooden hoops. I'm half way through the design.

The weather is still hot in OK. I stay inside as much as possible. This afternoon I needed to make a Wal-Mart run for my mother. I thought there wouldn't be many shoppers there, since tomorrow is the 1st. Needless to say, I was wrong, wrong.

Stay cool.

Frogs always descend on me, too, if I let something get too close to the deadline. LOL!

Sorry to hear you had a visit from those blasted frogs. I thought putting them on my blog would keep them busy.
I love your new stitching piece - the colors are wonderful
