More Sttitching from me \!

Every year I stitch ornaments for my great-nieces and nephew.  This year I chose Prairie Schooler.  I love how they turned out.  Their mothers said they liked them, but with kids, who knows.  These may be my last sets depending on how the ole eyes hold up this year.

For the HoE Halloween #2 I stitched the PS bat.  Did a simple finish and used twine as the holder.  I think he's cute.  I received the little owl above him from "crazypurplemom" It's a design from the JCS 2012 Halloween issue.

I had Amy V-M's name for both the #2 exchange and the HoE Stitcher's Choice round.  I finished off Bird of a Feather "The Night before Christmas" and did a simple finish on it too.  The backing carried out the blue and white theme.  Amy said she liked both exchanges, so I'm a happy stitcher.
Another Prairie Schooler.  I stitched this, I believe (memory problems again!) for Julianne.  I love funky little Christmas Trees, so pretty sure the tree here is why I chose the design to stitch.
Here's my Christmas gift from stitcher friend Mary Ann.  It is from the 2013 JSC issue.  She is a perfect stitcher and finisher.  I will probably display this one all year because I love the design.

That's it, all caught up.  Hope you enjoyed taking a peek!

Such wonderful ornaments!!! I love the PS ones. I hope to stitch some up for my tree this year as well. And don't worry about the kids, if they don't get it now...they'll appreciate it when they are older.

I do at least 8 ornaments each year ... 5 for my grandkids and each one is specific to the kid ... and 3 for ornament exchanges in the various guilds. I used those Prairie Schooler ornaments for the exchanges. They seemed to be well received. For the grandkids I try to make the ornament fit the child...my oldest granddaughter is learning archery so she got a girl with a bow and arrow; my middle granddaughter is taking karate, so she got a girl doing karate; my youngest granddaughter is was just 18 months old so she got a Santa on a sleigh; my oldest grandson took sailing lessons this summer so he got a sailboat; the other grandson is very much into Legos so he got a Lego Logo.

They all look fabulous. I keep saying I'll stitch ornaments as gifts, but have not yet lived up to the idea.

What fun ornaments all, given and received. The finishing on the little bat with the twine you did was great. PS has such fun designs to work with.
