PIF from Mama Joan

I just took a photo of my Birthday Bloggers exchange package and sealed the envelope. I'll put it in the mail tomorrow. After taking that photo, I remembered I had not taken a photo of the PIF I received from Mama Joan. Isn't it gorgeous. It's from the BBD's book Sarah Tobias. I love this design. Matter of fact I stitched it for a BBD exchange last year. Thank you Joan.

There is still three openings for my PIF exchange. If you would like to receive a stitched item from me in the next year leave a comment on this post. You in turn would then offer a PIF on your blog. Hope someone joins in.

What am I stitching on right now? Well, it is the piece for the YLPS exchange group. It is almost finished. I'm loving what I'm stitching, but alas, I cannot show it to you.

As I live and breathe tomorrow is Saturday. I've had my days mixed up all week. It's a good thing I'm not in the workforce anymore. There would probably be days I didn't show up!

My stitching is calling. Have a great evening.

Exchanges received and gifties

I had a chuckle when I opened the Lizzie Kate Exchange package from Eileen. Earlier in the week my cat Tobie, made it into the house with a bird in his mouth. I always check, because he loves to bring me live critters. Somehow I missed this one. Guess it was because it was dark and I didn't check! Eileen wrote that she saw where I liked purple, hence the purple feathers! Thank you so much, I love it and have it displayed where I can see it from the computer.

My friend Lynn, OK Stitching News that Counts, brought this beautifully stitched accessory bag from her last trip to Wisconsin. Do you think she knows what my favorite color is? She said it is made from recycled saris. The photo does not do it justice. Her husband woodturned several stitching aids for me, so I bet they go in this bag. Thank you Lynn. I love it.

I have no idea what I did to deserve this beautiful afghan, but I'm keeping it anyway! My friend Karen, no blog, crocheted this beauty. I'm so ready for cold weather so I can snuggle up in it and stitch away. Thank you Karen, I love it!

This is my first day back on the internet since Tuesday (from my home). Seems the fellow who does my yard weedeated (?) my telephone/dsl cable. I certainly do use my service alot and missed it terribly. It's how I read the papers, blogs, etc. I'm behind on my Drudge Report! Hehe.

One last note, when the AT&T serviceman came to the door this morn, I got my feet tangled trying to get up out of my chair. Took a tumble on the floor. Not a pretty sight to greet him with! He asked if he should call 911. I told him no, it would just take me a minute to get up. I'm sore now and my knees are really tender as they took the brunt of my weight! Good thing I had straightened up around the "nest." No telling what kind of damage I would have done to myself!

HoE Christmas in July for Chris

Chris sent me an e-mail that she had received the Hoe CIJ exchange package I sent to her. My stitched piece is from the December 2007 issue of The Gift of Stitching. It is a Blue Ribbon Design, Wishing you Friendship. Chris tells me she received another one of the series last year in an exchange. I also included some goodies of ribbon, fabric, buttons, and the Shepherd's Bush kit, Land That I Love.

Today I traveled to Tahlequah, OK. to see a show put on by the college there. It was a musical based on country music radio. The performers were really good and the show was excellent. From there we traveled to the Restaurant of The Cherokees where we chowed down on some good food. All in all the trip was very easy. My kind of trip, sit and then eat!!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
