Christmas Ornament Challenge, November& December Ornaments

2009 Christmas Ornament Challenge
November Ornament
Snow Deer
by Just Nan
32 ct Cinnamon Roll Linen
DMC, Overdyed Deer Silk, Kreinik #4 Braid
As soon as I saw this fellow I knew I was going to stitch him. I don't normally stitch with silk, but oh my, such a nice feel.

December Ornament
Holly Reindeer
by It's Daffycat
Silkweaver 28 ct Moon Dust Linen
DMC threads
Another design I knew I would stitch before the year ends. Matter of fact, I'm using this one for the great-nieces, and the companion design for the great-nephew's ornaments this year. The border should have DMC 814 in it, but I liked just the green, so I left it off this one. I may add it to the others.
Both designs were quick stitches, but it took me all day to day to do the finishing! Go figure.
Have a great evening.

I love the finishing on the Just Nan reindeer!

Thank you for stitching my Holly! I like the border just fine without the red and the pillow finishing is lovely!
