Icy inside day has advantages

LHN Ornament SAL Pear Tree
2010 Christmas Ornament Challenge
Cranberry Deer Pinkeep
Beehive Needleworks
January
It's snowing now. What can I say, rain, ice, snow, very wintry weather. I don't mind because

I'm not getting out. So, what's a stitcher to do besides stitch? Well, some finishing is in store. I think they both turned out pretty well, even though they are a little lopsided. No matter how hard i try, there's always a finishing imperfection. I decided to continue stitching a reindeer a month for the 2010 Ornament Challenge. A couple more days of fun stitching, then I must get busy on some exchange pieces. These are my deadlines, which I need in my life. Enjoy the rest of your day.

  1. they are both beautiful! We aren't snowed in or iced in, but I am stuck in too! Why you ask??? We have our 7 month old triplet grandsons with us. I am NOT taking them out in this cold weather! So, while babies nap, grandma stitches!!!

We are preparing for the ice/snow here in my neck of the woods...believe me-SC is ill equipped for it-HOPING I don't lose my power-but I do have a generator if I do-but not sure I will be able to get online...but hopefully I can have some light to stitch by :)
    STAY safe dear one :)

  5. You can say the finishing has flaws, but I don't see them from here!

Looks like the pillow ornie is edged with charming beads. :D Love it!

  6. Both finishes look great, but of
course you know I love the reindeer best! Glad to hear you are going to do one a month again.
We didn't get much ice/snow as predicted (yet!) but all around us
did. Stay well, warm & stitching!

  8. Stitchin, reading and finishing are the most joyful things one can do when it's so nasty outside. It's the same here, just without the ice. We were shoveling snow 5 times yesterday, and this morning I spent nearly two hours shoveling again.
    Your finishes look really great.
