HoE Summer Quaker

I put my Summer Quaker Exchange in the mail today. I certainly hope it arrives safely. You know how it is, once you've had one lost you worry about all the others you send.

So, I have no stitching to show since most of mine is now exchange stitching. I have a couple of days before I start the next exchange, so I'm going to work on one of WIP's BBD's "Garden of Life". I'm not very far into it, but every little stitch counts!

Next week the trio, Diane, Lynn and I, are heading down south to visit our friend in Idabel. Idabel is almost to the Texas border so it takes us about 2.5 or more hours to drive there. We're all old folk, so we make frequent stops!

I'll take a progress photo of GoL and post it tomorrow if I have my computer back from the shop. I caught a virus my virus protection program missed. Bummer. So, I'm using my backup at my mom's house.

Have a cool weekend. We're supposed to see triple digits today or tomorrow. Keep on stitchin'.

HoE Freebie received by Cathie

Cathie notified me that she received my replacement package for the HoE Freebie exchange, yipee!. I have been holding my breath since I sent it and am relieved that she finally received it.
Here are my photos of the exchange. Cathie assures me she like it. The floss tag is my first attempt. For some strange reason I am into 1 over 1 right now and loving it.

My Seasonal Exchange is ready to send. Julianne and I have been in contact and I'm waiting for her to give me the go ahead to send! No pressure, hehe.
My HoE Summer Quaker exchange is almost ready to send. I'm not sure I like the colors I choose, so may do it over with a different floss selection.
That's about all I've been working on stitch wise. Saturday I'm going on a day trip with one of the local banks. I hope it's fun! Have a good weekend.

LHN received by Mylene

I'm behind on my blogging. Read that Mylene received her exchange from me. I did the LHN's Woodland Snowfall. It was one I had wanted to do for sometime, so decided to use it as my exchange piece. Since it was in one of the JCS Ornament issues, I decided to just go ahead and make the exchange Christmas themed. Mylene said she liked it, I hope so. Here's the photo of the entire exchange. You can also see it on Mylene's blog.
I've been stitching on a replacement exchange that got lost in the mail and my autumn themed exchange on the Seasonal Exchange Bulletin Bulletin board.
Hope everyone has a productive stitching week.

LHN exchange from Margaret

I received my LHN exchange from Margaret of Margo's Musings this week. Dear sweet Margaret gifted me with a needlebook, my very first one. Excited is an understatement of how I feel about this stitched piece. I absolutely love it. She also included some beautiful silk thread in my favorite color, some Lakeside Linen, and the kit for one of the Quilted Cats, Petunia. Margaret also remembered my furry friends at the shelter by making a donation to the Humane Society. Our president was elated when I showed her the card Margaret sent. What can I say? Thank you, Margaret. It seems inadequate, however it is heartfelt.

I hope everyone has a safe and patriotic 4th of July!
