WIP update

I finished the stitching on my sister's tree ornament this week. Now I have to decided which beads I want to use. She said she liked red and gold together, so will try a few gold one's to see how it looks.

In my previous post I mentioned a little trip. Two friends and I traveled to southeastern OK. to visit our friend Mary Ann. She owns a gift shop in Idabel, Mimi's Simple Elegance. When we leave town, her shop is bare in a few areas. I splurged and bought me a nice pair of pearl earrings, a great needlework tote, a purse to match, and some other goodies like lotions, soaps and tea towels. The four of us always seem to have a great time when we visit.

Have a great weekend. It is beginning to look like rain here.

Feathered Friends received by Judith

While on a short trip I read where Judith received her SBEBB Feathered Friends exchange from me. I just love these little freebie designs. I've plans to stitch them all. I hope the exchange helped her feel just a little bit better from her ankle woes. Two items you may not be able to identify are the Oklahoma State quarter and some really super magnets.

WIP update

Greetings,

A quick note to say hello to all and post a photo of my latest name ornament. It's for my sister Teri. See that E? Let me tell you, I restitched it three times. My eyes play tricks on me. They were cruel this time! Hehe. Hope to finish it soon since her birthday was in April. I told her it would be late so it's ok.

Hope everyone has a good week. I'm traveling to Tulsa for a drs. appt., then to the stitching shops, Hobby Lobby, and Ted's for lunch. Ted's, yum, yum.

Feathered Friends exchange

Oh my, oh my, am I one happy stitcher. I received my SBBBE Feathered Friends exchange in the mail today. My partner was the BeckySC who does such wonderful finishes. She included a darling tin topper, fabric, scissors, floss holder, and a kit to make a scissor holder and fob. It is because of BeckySC that I became a blogger and a member of the stitching community of exchangers. I absolutely love the exchange, Becky. Check out her blog to see her photos.
Today was a rainy day here, so I decided to take the day off from the Shelter. I needed to work on finishing my HoE Freebie exchange, so I had a good excuse. The real excuse was I just didn't want to get out and about. I did manage to get most of the trim on the pinkeep. I'll finish it tomorrow and get the rest of the exchange ready to mail.
Stitched on the belated birthday gift for my sister today, or I should say I frogged. Had to take an entire letter out. That's a real bummer. There went the progress I made.
Gee, it's almost the weekend. Enjoy!

Surprise pillow

I haven't blogged much these past weeks. Have been too tired to do much of anything. At this time I'm spending most afternoons with my mom taking care of business. As a result, stitching is something I just don't get to.

My Feathered Friends exchange is finished, the photos are taken, and now I have to get it packaged. My HoE Freebie exchange is stitched, but not finished. So, guess I have managed to sneak in a little stitching, just nothing I can show. Oh, and I did start a belated birthday gift for my sister.

A few weeks ago I left a comment on one of Mary Kathryn's blog post. I was one of the four who won a gift from her. Here's what she sent and I must say I love it.

Isn't my little fox lamp cute? I have a few unusual foxes sitting around my living room. More later.
